ASCMM College proudly presents its Annual Report for the academic year 2024-25, highlighting key initiatives, academic milestones, and student enrichment programs.
I. Admissions and Academic Commencement
The academic session 2024-25 commenced with full vigor. Admissions were successfully completed in the month of July. Classes for the 3rd and 5th semesters officially began on 1st August 2024.
II. Orientation Programme
A comprehensive five-day Orientation Programme for B.Sc., B.Com, and B.A. first-semester students was held from 18th September 2024 to 22nd September 2024. The program was designed to warmly welcome new students to ASCMM College and familiarize them with the institution’s history, academic structure, code of conduct, and available faculties, ensuring a smooth transition into college life.
III. Examinations
The examination for the Odd Semester commenced on 15th January 2024 and concluded on 11th March 2024. Following this, the Even Semester session began on 15th March 2024, with classes for B.A., B.Sc., and B.Com (II, IV, and VI semesters) running successfully. The Even Semester examination started on 11th June 2024 and is scheduled to conclude on 9th September 2024.
IV. Skill Development and Educational Enrichment
* Guest Lectures and Skill Development:
Training programs and modern skill development techniques were promoted under the Skill India Mission, with a strong focus on enhancing global employability. Guest lectures were organized across the Arts, Science, and Commerce departments throughout the session. These sessions featured esteemed experts who imparted academic knowledge and provided invaluable insights from both industry and academia.
* Educational Enrichment Programme:
A seven-day Educational Enrichment Programme was organized from 22nd March 2024 to 29th March 2024. As part of this program, students undertook an educational tour to the Skill India International Centre in Varanasi, where they gained valuable exposure and learned about diverse vocational opportunities.
* Workshop on Effective Communication and Interview Skills:
A significant six-day workshop focusing on “Effective Communication and Interview Skills” was conducted in the college. This workshop, led by Dr. P. K. Singh, was aimed at enhancing students’ communication and presentation abilities, crucial for their professional development.
V. Co-curricular and Extracurricular Activities
* Annual Sports Day:
The Annual Sports Day of ASCMM College was a resounding success, held from 12th October 2024 to 14th November 2024. This event was celebrated with immense enthusiasm and excitement, providing an excellent platform for students to showcase their talents in various athletic and team events.
* Female Health Awareness Programme:
A crucial Female Health Awareness Programme was organized, featuring Dr. Yashavi Pandey from Ujala Hospital. This initiative aimed to educate and empower women and girls on key health issues, with a particular focus on physical, mental, and reproductive health.
* Cultural Celebrations:
The college actively organized and celebrated various cultural events during the session, including Chandrashekhar Jayanti, Bal Gangadhar Tilak Jayanti, Gandhi Jayanti, Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti,College freshers and farewell party. These celebrations fostered a vibrant and inclusive campus environment.
