Code of Conduct for Students

The principal of the college constantly seeks the participation of the students and their parents in creating and maintaining an environment that fosters academic and cultural growth to uphold the legacy of the college’s traditions. In order to that students are specifically encouraged to collaborate with their elected class representative to uphold the rules concerning sanction in their own self-interest.

  • Ragging is absolutely forbidden in its all forms. Those who disregard college guideline face disciplinary action. All students and parents are required to sign an affidavit in the ragging related proforma provided by the college at the time of admission.
  • Students are strictly not permitted to cause acts that interrupt the internal peace of the college campus.
  • College students are not allowed to play games, even in small groups, anywhere on campus during lecture hours.
  • The college premise is completely smoking free zone. Smoking, chewing and spitting tobacco products or pan masala, consumption of alcohol or narcotic drugs strictly prohibited inside the college premises. Chief Proctor and Proctors of the college frequently on the lookout for violation of the rules and may be subject to disciplinary action.
  • Mobile phone use is strictly prohibited during lecture time in classroom and violation of this rule is punishable.
  • Any sort of examination malpractice, including copying, impersonation, using unfair practices, as well as exchanging answer book or paper is dealt harshly.
  • There is no dress code for college but students are expected to come in college dressed suitably while maintaining decency.
  • Students are prohibited to stand verandas or corridors of the college during class hours.
  • Any damage or defacement of college property is punishable offense. If any student found guilty of this rule is liable for pecuniary punishment.
  • Students in college are obligated to establish moral standards and values as component of their education.
  • All the college students will participate in social welfare activates, and they have a moral obligation to maintain law and order on campus.

Code of conduct for Teaching Staff

  • The college gives its teaching faculty the highest level of attention and responsibility for upholding the code of professional ethics. They are also not expected to cause any damage to or deface any college property.
  • Teachers should adhere to sincere conduct and demeanor which is ideal for the larger community.
  • They have responsibility to perform their obligations and behave in a way that upholds the principles and standards of their profession. A teacher of college is required to completely align his or her teaching and learning practice with their own vision. Each concern teacher’s pedagogy ought to reflect this, students to adapt the National Education Policy (NEP) values

Code of conduct for non-teaching staff

  • Code of conduct for non-teaching staff is also strictly governed by the state service rules.
  • All the staff members are expected to display the highest standard of professional ethics and behavior. Punctuality and diligence are two of the core values cherished by them.
  • Concerns about their arrival and departure from college rigorously observed through Bio- metrics on all working days.
  • They must not have engaged in any sort of misbehavior during college hours.
  • They must refrain themselves from any unlawful conduct or discrimination against other staff members, teachers or students particularly on the basis of caste, creed or religion.
  • After the enactment of the sexual harassment of women at work place (Prevention, prohibition and redressed) Act, 2013 college is committed to maintain and create an academic work environment free of sexual harassment for students, academic staff and non-teaching staff of the college. Aacharya Sitaram Chaturvedi Mahila Mahavidyalaya constituted its own internal complaints committee.
